Someone on the net said that Powerade makes Mountain Dew tastes closer to Baja Blast than Gatorade, plus it was $0.50 less than Gatorade. The outcome kinda tasted like Baja Blast, but flat and with generic undertone to it. I'd rather drink the real stuff than the home-made brew.
Maybe you could try adding club soda into the mix so it doesn't taste flat??
